The East Lansing Girls JV basketball team went on the road to open their season and dropped a close contest to the Pirates of Pewamo-Westphalia by a final score of 30-34.
Leading the way for the Trojans was Aaliyah Morehouse with 18 points, Barbara Stout made a late 3-point field goal to spark the comeback, but East Lansing fell just short in the end.
The Trojans will go on the road Monday to Williamstown for their next contest.
